London’s RAF Northolt airport to be made more attractive for business aviation<\/h1>\n

The Royal Air Force is extending London RAF Northolt Airport (RAF\/EGWU) hours of operation to seven days a week starting June 1, 2022, making the airport open on weekends for the first time in five years.
\n\u201cWe thank the Royal Air Force for this change, which is a huge win for Northolt and business jet operators flying to London,\u201d said Sean Raftery, regional managing director at Universal Aviation.
\n\u201cThe airport is already extremely popular. Business jet operators love the level of service and safety that Universal Aviation provides, combined with the airport’s ease of congestion, privacy, and most importantly, its convenient location. The ability to fly over the weekend will certainly make Northolt Airport a more attractive option for accessing London.\u201d
\nRAF Northolt is the nearest airport to central London (19.8 km and 32 minutes drive to Hyde Park versus 63 km and an hour to Farnborough Airport). It is also close to many of London’s stadiums that host major international sporting events including Wembley (14km), Twickenham (18km), Wimbledon (25km), Emirates Stadium (27km) and Tottenham (30km).<\/p>\n
