London prison turned into a five-star hotel NoMad<\/h1>\n

One of the famous London buildings, the historic magistrates’ court and police station on Bow Street has been transformed into NoMad Covent Garden London, a premium five-star hotel, which is located a 31-minutes drive from London Airport.
\nThe police station was once home to the Bow Street Runners and both the courthouse and holding cells housed many famous defendants, including Oscar Wilde, suffragette activist Emmeline Pankhurst, and the Kray twins, who dominated much of London’s criminal culture in the 1950s and 1960s.<\/p>\n

The design was developed by the British architectural bureau EPR Architects, it won the AHEAD Europe Awards 2021 in the Hotel Transformation category.
\nThe hotel offers 91 rooms, a multiple atrium restaurant, and a breathtaking ballroom events venue within the historic Magistrates’ Courtroom, which is accompanied by two private intimate dining rooms and a bar. The central hall was turned into a dining room with a glass dome, the walls were repainted in the shade of sea foam, and each floor of the hotel was supplemented with hanging plants and works by contemporary artists. Where the front door is now located, there used to be an entrance to the courtyard, where the accused were taken. Interior design studio Roman and Williams designed the hotel’s rooms in an eclectic style, favoring vintage furnishings and d\u00e9cor.
\nThe makeover of the famous 19th-century listed building pays tribute to its history and Covent Garden’s past, as well as the artistic and cultural connection between London and New York.<\/p>\n
