“Virgin Atlantic will resume some international flights in late July”<\/h1>\n

British airline Virgin Atlantic, founded by billionaire Richard Branson and owned by 49% owned Delta Air Lines, announced the resumption of flights on a number of international routes at the end of July amid weakening in some countries of the restrictions introduced in connection with the pandemic.<\/p>\n

According to a press release from the airline, Virgin Atlantic will begin operating flights from London Heathrow Airport<\/a> to Orlando and Hong Kong on July 20, and from Shanghai, New York and Los Angeles on July 21.<\/p>\n

In the next two weeks, Virgin Atlantic plans to announce the resumption of service for several routes in August. The airline intends to gradually increase the number of flights in the second half of the year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe keep a close eye on external conditions, especially travel restrictions in many countries, including a compulsory 14-day quarantine for passengers arriving in the UK,\u201d said Virgin Atlantic Chief Operating Officer Juha J\u00e4rvinen.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the airline announced that it will operate flights from London Heathrow Airport instead of Gatwick Airport.<\/h2>\n
