Titanic: The Exhibition, which has come at Dock X in Canada Water to tell you everything about the realities of this iconic ship’s terrible trip, will transport you back in time to understand the true history of individuals onboard the tragic ship.
The debut of the exhibition is the first time this amazing collection of artifacts has been shown on these shores. It’s genuinely unmissable material, with authentic artefacts belonging to passengers, recreations of the ship’s interior, and touching stories of bravery from those who survived. So brilliant, in fact, that the exhibition has been extended until April 17 due to its popularity.
Titanic: The Exhibition, produced by award-winning events producer Musealia, showcases roughly 200 items from travelers, retelling a very personal aspect to the narrative of the ship’s sinking more than a century after the 1912 catastrophe. During this dramatic display, you’ll be able to explore eight rooms that include life-size reconstructions of some of the ship’s spaces. As you enter the lowly third-class cabin or magnificent first-class suite, you may listen to survivor testimony on a dynamic audio guide, which also includes music and sound effects (bring your headphones!).
It’s a strong, engrossing look at the tragic ship, its crew, and guests. It’s the small things that pique your interest; letters to family members and friends, a pocketbook of prayers, and a pair of child’s shoes are just a few of the objects that tell fascinating stories and trigger strong emotions. All throughout exhibition, you will trace the life of the transatlantic ship, from design to current state, uncovering genuine stories through images and personal possessions along the way. The collection will be available daily beginning February 22, giving you lots of opportunities to see it.
