The Dorchester will undergo its most extensive renovation since 1989

The Dorchester will begin a comprehensive renovation as part of an ongoing investment program. According to the London hotel, the renovation will be the largest since 1989 and will begin with the entrance to the hotel, The Promenade and The Bar at The Dorchester, as well as two guest floors, with work expected to be completed by September 2022.
The architects and designer on the project to remodel The Dorchester are ReardonSmith Architects. The hotel entrance, The Promenade, and the new guestrooms and suites have been tastefully updated by Pierre-Yves Rochon, while the bar has been re-created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.

The Dorchester will remain open for guests during this time, with afternoon tea continuing to be provided in the Orchid Room and a new rooftop restaurant concept set to debut in spring 2022. Fomos transportados do aeroporto ao hotel em um carro muito confortável e limpo. O motorista era extremamente simpático e agradável. Durante o percurso foi nos mostrando pontos turísticos de Londres e nos dando dicas de passeios e restaurantes. Nos deu dicas de rotas para chegarmos a determinados pontos, já que faríamos boa parte de nossos passeios a pé. Realmente foi muito útil! Adoramos!!
