Tiffany & Co. precious Jewels will be in London from June 10 to August 19. The Saatchi Gallery’s “Vision & Virtuosity” retrospective includes 400 vintage pieces from the fine jewelry House.
Tiffany & Co. is showing its precious jewelry archives at the landmark Saatchi Gallery, a modern art museum in south-west London, in the Duke of York’s Headquarters building on King’s Road, near Sloane Square. A 185-year journey through invention, craftsmanship, and tradition. The London exhibition “Vision & Virtuosity” by Tiffany & Co. transports visitors to nineteenth-century New York. The richness of the works on show, as well as the workmanship and imagination necessary to create them, make this retrospective, which runs from June 10 to August 19, exceptional. It is one of the year’s must-see exhibits.
Make your trip to London, along the Thames, if you’re a fan of gemstones and exquisite jewelry. Discover the history of this century-old house (established in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young), from its famed store displays to its Empire Diamond, a recently acquired diamond weighing more than 80 carats. You may also enjoy the original screenplay pages of the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, featuring the one and only Audrey Hepburn.
This exhibition-event explores the 185-year history of the American jewelry brand, presenting the behind-the-scenes narrative of the iconic turquoise custom packaging – a blue-green color known as “Tiffany Blue” – that have become iconic in pop culture. It’s a delight to uncover the mysteries of great jewelry, much like it was with the Van Cleef & Arpels show in Paris.
Connoisseurs and newcomers to the brand will appreciate the seven thorough chapters of this exhibition, as well as the renowned items on show, including as the engagement ring, a beautiful solitaire fashioned in 1886. The “Blue Book,” the yearly catalogue of the House’s fine jewelry collection, is also on display. There will be almost 400 archival works on show.
Visitors will be able to purchase special pieces at the museum shop after touring the high-end world of Tiffany & Co. A unique collection of jewelry will be on show. Clothing designed by Daniel Arsham, Tiffany & Co. x Wilson® footballs, Quartersnacks skateboards, Mellow Gemini vases, Krink paint markers, Caran d’Ache stationery sets, and Bellocq tea sets are all part of the program. Like the Dior flagship at 30 Montaigne in Paris, it is a genuine temple in the image of the jewelry company.
