Lilibet: The cat named after Queen Elizabeth II lives a life that most people can only dream of.
A Siberian cat has been enjoying our greatest desires and is possibly the world’s most opulent feline. Little Lilibet, who turns three in March, was named after her royal neighbor the Queen and resides in a five-star hotel that is apparently larger than Buckingham Palace.
The cat is wandering around the Lanesborough hotel on London’s Hyde Park corner, which has rooms that cost more than £27,000 per night. Lilibet’s stay, on the other hand, is absolutely free because Oetker Collection Hotels snatched her up like just a kitten from an English breeder.
“The cat committee voted on Lilibet’s name – as the Queen is our first neighbour to The Lanesborough, we believed it was a suitable choice to call her after the Queen’s childhood nickname,” Jo Stevenson, who works at the hotel, told the Daily Star.
The adorable kitten was given the name before Prince Harry and wife Meghan gave birth to their second child, a girl named Lilibet. As a result, it is possible to argue that the newborn was named after a cat.
Lilibet may be the queen of the prestigious hotel, but she also has to cope with other animal companions that accompany their owners while they are in town. With the exception of one dog breed, Lilibet gets along nicely with most animals.
“Lilibet welcomes all of our regular visitors to our outlets, and since we are pets friendly, we have regular fellow furry friends visiting – there is one breed she does not like, and that is French Bull Dogs – she becomes really feisty when she sees this breed for some reason,” she explained.
Many guests come to the hotel specifically to meet the cat and lavish her with affection.
