On May 17, Covent Garden will host a three-week-long rose festival to celebrate the return of indoor dining.
More than 20 restaurants will be present in the piazza and surrounding streets, serving 30 different varieties of pink wine, as well as rosé cocktails and frosé. There will be nine dedicated pop-ups, including Mirabeau, Amie wine, and a partnership seafood restaurant the Oystermen and Champagne house Pol Roger, in addition to the restaurants.
Ladurée will host a rose-inspired afternoon tea, and Whittard and Mariage Freres will serve more than 40 rose blend teas. Throughout the event, Gelatorino Amorino will be serving their signature rose-shaped ice cream cones, and Shake Shack will be selling a limited-edition cherry blossom pink shake.
A pop-up rosé flower shop from Fiona Fleur, eight pop-up bars and terraces around the Piazza, and live pianists are all part of the three-week-long Rosé Festival, which runs until Sunday, June 6th.
Michelle McGrath, the executive director of Capco Covent Garden, said: “We’re excited that Covent Garden will launch its first ever Rosé Festival on May 17th which will kick off the late May Bank Holiday celebrations early.”
