Finalists for the Business Travel Awards Europe 2022 have been announced
The Business Travel Awards has been a long-standing fixture on the business calendar in London for over 25 years and remains the highest accolade in business travel honoring the best suppliers in each category of the industry as well as the Travel Buyer and Travel Team of the Year. Over 1200 corporate travel managers and senior-level tourism industry suppliers attend the awards ceremony for an evening of networking and entertainment.
The JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London will host the Business Travel Awards Europe 2022 on September 30.
Following a rigorous judging process, the finalists in 22 categories for this year’s Business Travel Awards Europe were announced this week.
The renowned annual event, organized by the BTN Group and affectionately known as “the Oscars of the industry,” recognizes industry leadership, partnership, and innovation.
Entries came in from organizations large and small, new and established, and from all over Europe.
The independent panel of judges, made up of 25 experienced travel managers, commented on the high calibre and quality of entries this year, and will meet later this summer to select the winners after reviewing additional supporting evidence from the companies named finalists.
American Airlines and Delta Air Lines are two of the suppliers who have been named finalists in multiple categories. They will compete for the Long-haul Airline, Achievement in DEI, and Achievement in environmental sustainability awards.
Meanwhile, Hilton has been named a finalist in the categories of Hotel brand, Achievement in DEI, and Account management team of the year, while TripActions will compete in the categories of Corporate booking platform, Payments & Expenses, and Global TMC.
American Express Global Business Travel, FCM Travel, and Wings Travel Management round out the finalists in the Travel partner of the year – Global TMC category.
Benjamin Park, regional director procurement and travel at Parexel, Cristina Chimenti, global travel supervisor at Sky, and Eloise Ferrara-Neched, senior procurement manager at Royal Mail Group were named finalists for the coveted Travel buyer of the year award.
In the competitive Travel team of the year category, six finalists were named: Fidelity International Global Travel Team & BCD Travel, Deloitte & CWT, Google Global Travel Team & American Express Global Business Travel, Inmarsat Global Travel Operations Team, Microsoft & Amadeus, and SSE & Agiito.
