London airports have been awarded on 2021 World Airport Awards
The 2021 World Airport Awards have named the best airports that have made every effort to adapt and address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. And the first place in this list is occupied by the Hamad international air harbor in Qatar. The past 18 months have been the most difficult, primarily financially, period the global aviation industry has ever experienced. Airports have invested in providing the safest possible environment for passengers and staff during a global pandemic. COVID-19 has affected some regions and airports more than others, with many of them still not having international flights, if any, to this day, Skytrax noted. Hamad was also honored at the World Airport Awards 2021 as the best airport in the Middle East and the best hub in the world in the 25 to 35 million passengers category, and also received the award for the best personnel among the aviation harbors in the Middle East. London Heathrow Airport entered the top 10 and finished 8th.
