New design of the London Euston station
New design of the London Euston station on the HS2 high-speed line has been unveiled. HS2 has unveiled a concept for a redesigned London-Southstone station on the high-speed line. The concept, developed by a consortium consisting of Arup, WSP and Grimshaw Architects, differs from the one presented in 2015 with less complexity – the station with a reduced number of platforms from 11 to 10 can be built in one stage with minimal inconvenience to passengers and city residents. The three-level station will have 10 underground platforms with a length of 450 m, ensuring the passage of up to 17 high-speed trains per hour. The 300 m long ground concourse is proposed
