Coin commemorating the 150th anniversary of the book
Commemorative coins were issued in Britain in honor of the 150th anniversary of the book “Alice Through the Looking Glass” In 1871, the book Through the Looking-Glass was published, a sequel to Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. To commemorate 150 years since publication, the Royal Mint has decided to issue two collectible £ 5 coins. The first was minted in July 2021; its reverse depicts Alice’s meeting with the Cheshire Cat. On the second, the main character meets the twins Tweedledum and Tweedledee, writes the BBC.
